I just hear such good things about the quality control on the M70, I wouldn't want to give any of that up. Of course any mass produced product can get fucked up, but WASRs and other AKs have bad reps regarding their front sights. Just wanna make sure I'm doing everything I can to avoid that.Probably $200-400 for the work from a reputable builder and months to complete. The rear fixed trunnion has to be pulled, the countersunk rivet holes in the receiver flattened and welded closed. Stock hinge button has to be located and drilled/filed into the rear. Then the trunnion has to be installed, rivets located and squished.Too many inconsistencies in 5.56 AKs, making them kinda impractical, albeit cool. A 5.56 AR is the move for SHTF, trailed closely by a 7.62 AK. That, and the lack of Bakelite magazines for 5.56 is unconscionable.
